Better Business Bureau Torch Award
NEPA Trauma Center Wins Prestigious 2006 Better Business Bureau Torch Award
The Better Business Bureau of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania has named the NEPA Trauma Center, Scranton, as the 2006 BBB Torch Award winner for companies with 100-plus employees.
Given to recognize outstanding business practices, the NEPA Trauma Center's award was announced at a dinner held Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, Scranton. Award winning ABC News correspondent John Quinones was the guest speaker. Quinones is a featured reporter on ABC's Primetime Live.
The Bureau accepted nominations for the Torch Award from consumers, businesses and the general public. The winners are all companies who demonstrate outstanding business practices and concern for their customers, vendors, employees and the community in which they serve. The NEPA Trauma Center, located within the Community Medical Center, serves thousands of trauma patients throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond.
According to Jay Schectman, Executive Director of the BBB of NE and Central PA, "The hundreds of people who comprise this team work tirelessly every day to care for trauma victims and their families. They work relentlessly to put themselves out of business, saving lives, restoring hope, and enhancing the quality of life. Their dedication and exceptional effort to save lives made them a Torch Award winner."
