| Responsible for the preparation and cooking of food for Patient Services, Cafeteria, and Special functions according to production schedules. | |||||||||||||||||
| QUALIFICATIONS | |||||||||||||||||
| Education: High School diploma or GED required with the ability to read, understand, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions and recipes. | |||||||||||||||||
| Experience: Minimum one year of cooking experience. Training and/or experience in quantity cooking desirable. | |||||||||||||||||
| Physical Requirements: Good health and stamina essential. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and carrying up to 25 ponds, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, handling, kneeling, and wrist and digital dexterity. Speaking, hearing and visual acuity. Verbal and written English communication skills. | |||||||||||||||||
| Specific Requirements: Versatility to perform a variety of activities involved in food preparation. Sensory judgment to evaluate palatability of prepared foods. Regularly exposed to varying temperatures (hot production and service areas; cold/freezing storage areas), production noise, and wet/slippery floors.
