The Center for Diabetes Management offers education you need to manage diabetes. We here at CMC are dedicated to a caring approach to your diabetes education. Coupled with your commitment to learn we will help you control and cope with your disease. We'll help you understand the keys to self-care, how to set and attain personal goals, and ultimately how to avoid complications that make life difficult.
ADA-Recognized
CMC's diabetes education program follows the national standards for a self-management education program. The American Diabetes Association endorses these standards.
Living a Normal Life
Having diabetes is often a stressful experience. When you get diabetes your entire life changes, including your lifestyle, work routines, exercise and eating habits. But you aren°t the only one affected by diabetes. Diabetes affects your family and friends, too. We encourage a healthy approach to stress called Parent.

Support Group Meetings
Support Group Meetings are scheduled for the second Friday of every month at 10 AM in the School of Nursing 1st floor CME conference room. These groups are facilitated by a certified diabetes educator. For more information or to register call 969-7272.
The Center for Diabetes Management offers two group education classes:

Weight Loss
Additional education is available for Children with diabetes and women with gestational diabetes.
