POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates the operations and activities of the Clinical Engineering department and staff. Ensures the department maintains all medical equipment and services up to departmental standards and codes in order to provide a safe environment for all hospital patients, visitors and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or bio-medical engineering required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Five (5) years experience in electrical/electronic field, plus three (3) years supervisory experience. Bio medical in a healthcare setting preferred.

Specific Requirements: Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to perform under stress; meet competing demands from all members of the healthcare team. Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills needed to create a collaborative team and maintain superior customer satisfaction. Demonstrates commitment to quality assurance program. Demonstrates ability to ensure cost effective staff scheduling and budgeting. Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language to effectively communicate with predominantly English-speaking population.
