and residency at Cook County Hospital in 1977. Dr. Rao then attended the Cleveland Clinic Foundation
for his fellowship training from 1977-1979. Dr. Rao joined Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd in 1979. Over the past twenty-seven years he has
developed one of the regions leading cardiovascular practices. Dr. Rao is board certified by the
American Board of Internal Medicine with a sub specialty in cardiovascular disease as well as
American Society of Nuclear Cardiologists, American Society of Echocardiographers and the American
Society of Hypertension. He is a member of many professional medical societies and is has been a member of the Board of Trustees
of CMC Healthcare Systems since 1996. Dr. Rao's areas of special interest include diagnostic cardiac
catheterization, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
